(Flash) Animations
- Dynamical Optical Path Creation. Demonstrates how MonALISA can be used to dynamically on deman create paths in the wide area network.
- Clarens Client Analysis. Shows how the Clarens Java Client and its various plugins are used to (securely) submit jobs and review the result.
- Discovery Service.Shows how the Clarens Javascript client uses the discovery service to locate services and software.
- MCPS Client. Shows how a Clarens Javascript client is used to provide access to workflows, including transfer and analysis workflows to selected users based on their distinguished names (DN). Once access is granted, these users can transfer files, monitor it with MonALISA, and view results of their analysis using the Clarens Java Client.
(older flash movies)
- MCPS 1:A user discovers an MCPS service using the Clarens discovery service, export his proxy and executes a service. Once the service has been executed the user can view the result in his sandbox. tar and zip files uploaded by the user are unpacked automatically at the server. The user can also access his sandbox using the Clarens file service as the sandbox is part created under the clarens file root. Production jobs (Jobs based on runjob) also report to a Clarens JobMonservice that enable the user to analyze the job if necessary (This uses the old MCPS GUI)
- MCPS 2:An admin who does not have access to any workflow (clicking on show workflows shows nothing). He than switches to the Admin GUI and selects several workflows (he can only administrate the ones he is an admin from) that he wants access to. He has to set a quota (usage frequency) for each of the select workflows. Once selected he returns to the User GUI and show workflows displays the selected ones.
- MCPS 3:A user that has access to the "Transfer1" workflow. This workflow is coupled with a catalog and exposes several datasets. Before executing any workflow he checks his quotas. He than selects two datasets two transfer and checks his quota in between. The transfer can be monitored by having the wrapper writing in a log file in the users sandbox (this is for the demo only, in our deployed workflows data is published to systems such as MonALISA)
- MCPS 4:A user that has access to the "Analysis1" workflow, selects this workflow. The workflow exposes a set of "standard" filters and a set of datasets locally available for a particular root based analysis. The user selects several filters and runs an analysis on one dataset. This generates several output files. The output files are analyzed using the Clarens Root viewer that gives remote access to root files. Although this scenario shows predefined filters it is possible for a tier2 to host several "standard" analysis script that allow users to plug in their own filters, as MCPS allows you to upload auxillery files.
