December, 5 : First version of the Clarens Java Client. Java is a richer environment than HTML/Javascript, which enables us, to connect to multiple distributed services and better integration with MonALISA components on the client side. It also enables future integration with IM systems. View Demo.
November, 18 : Clarens based MCPS service with access and quota control demonstrated at SC05. A Presentation was given as the OSG booth.
November 1: First version of Clarens based JobMon available. It enables you to retrieve a handle of your job and interact with it (watch log files, kill it, restart it, etc...).
August, 30 : Upgraded version of the Clarens Discovery Service. Ability to add key/value pairs to service descriptions, and a new software discovery service. View Demo
July, 20 : First version available of Clarens based MCPS. A higher level service to support Tier2 job submission. A demo was given at the OSG meeting in Milwaukee.
April, 19 : Test run on Ultralight using Clarens to initiate transfer of files. Clarens offers acces control on directories and files. Once the user selects the files/directories he/she can transfer the selected files/directories (provided they are allowed to do that).
April, 18 : Pubdb catalog at the University of Florida is exposed as a Clarens Web Service. The catalog is tested on a daily basis to ensure it is operational.
March, 31 : Local Phedex catalog at Caltech exposed as Clarens Web Service. The catalog is tested on a daily basis to ensure it is operational.
March. 20 : First version of Software discovery service operational, using the CMS scram environment. Future versions will include a graphical frontend, and a plugin to discover VDT installed software applications.
